The original piece "Provincetown II" and my redesign. Now I did make my redesign wider to try and get the detail I wanted in the photo. I also made my photo's color's brighter trying to bring about a more upbeat scene. I did want to try and keep some of the idea behind the pieces in the same generalization of art. I went more impressionist than expressionist. I tried to keep the color scheme the same in placement while adding more line and form to make the image something that could be related to. There are many different combinations I could come up with for with just sticking to the assumption that the assigned colors in the original image are not just arbitrarily chosen, but that they represent the colors found in a real world setting. The orange from my piece in the art work seems closer to the orange in the original piece where my beach is. Though with brightening the images colors the hues for both the red blotch in the original and the orange splotch in the original could be seen as the orange blotch and the tan splotch in my piece.
